Traditional Australians post aboriginal (humans & horses) descended from those that built this country, endured its adverse environment and survived. These horses have earned recognition, and their own identity, in order to acknowledge their heritage and distinguish them from contemporary 'wannabees' of modern untested blood & breeding; which merely conform to some idealistic or academic ideal concerning look-alike 'type'. These horses have inherited characteristics. They are a breed. They are Walers, the REAL Walers.
