I have recently put down the foundations for new website specifically aimed at the UP Saddle and associated accoutrements. It is a work in progress and you can visit here:

To complete the project I need help from collectors, re-enactors and historians who can help with any related material. Manufacturers markings, first hand knowledge, old manuals.
THe Australian War Memorial just contacted me, prohibiting the use of AWM archival images. As you can appreciate photographs of the saddles at work are essential to the project so anybody with ANY old Light Horse photo's and is happy for them to be reproduced would be greatly appreciated.
This website is completely non-profit and exists solely to centralise and document information which is slowily vanishing.
