I have two monochrome photographs of men in Light Horse uniform. My father is one of them. Photos were probably taken between WWI&II. The colour patch at the shoulder is rectangular, divided diagonally, the upper portion being light in colour and the lower dark in colour, worn with the broad of the dark colour to the front. On the lower sleeve there is an oval shape which contains an object which may be crossed rifles. The left collar has a round object on it while the right has a smaller, oval shape on it. Plumes are in the slouch hats. My father came from Rutherglen/Corowa so I suspect he may have been in the 8th(Indi). Is there anyway I can confirm this?
