The difficulty that you will face is that there are few records of Militia unit membership. 22nd Light Horse was not an AIF unit, it was a Militia (Army Reserve it is called today) unit and did not serve overseas because under the defence act, it was for the defence of Australia. Not for use in an overseas war. That is why the AIF was formed. It was a totally separate force of volunteers, set up to serve overseas. The AIF Light Horse Regiments were numbered 1 to 15 only
