You sure picked a dificult one,,, The two units which he could have been in were 15th Light Horse (Northern Rivers Lancers) or 2/14th Light Horse(QMI) These were the two Light Horse units which joined at the border. The difficulty is that there is little in the way of records available for easy research. The best place to look would be the Defence Department in Melbourne. They hold the records for WWII service and your only hope would be that he is recorded on that and that his militia service is recorded in thosse files.
