I have somewhere stored some stereoscope photos of a Victorian regiment embarking for the Boer War as well as well as many snaps during the Boer War of the Lighthorse. Most of these photos have been staged for the photographer.
Can anyone advise me of how I find out about my grandfather Thomas Henry Brandt who was in the Lighthorse during WW1. He conned my grandmother, a pommy barmaid at that time into marrying him instead of one the Grace brothers, from the famous Aussie firm Grace Bros, she was taken in by the emu feather, what that had to do with it I don't know. She was a silly woman. AS a result of the blasted emu feather I am a poor grandson instead of a wealthy one. Any info much appreciated
