Thank you, John I had already accessed this web page in my initial search to locate the burial detail of Major W J S Rundle, formerly an officer of the Maitland troop of the New South Wales Lancers prior to embarking overseas to South Africa and at time of death at Beaufort West was an officer in the 6th Dragoon Guards. I would have thought that Rundle's name and details would have been included on the Australian War Memorial's data base of 'Australians' who died in South Africa as well as on the 'other' data base which contains the burial details of 'Australians' who died in South Africa. I wonder if the New South Wales Lancer who replies to matters on this noriceboard would know the location of Major Rundle's grave in South Africa.
