Colonel Kinloch (Terry) Thanks for the email address. Do you have access to the Kantara and Chatby Military Cemeteries? Of the more than 600 Hunter Valley men who were in the Australian Light Horse (and we must not forget the Camel Corps) 21 were KIA or DOW in Palestine, 5 in Syria, 2 in Iraq (as POWs), and 20+ (as well as a few infantrymen) in Egypt. 11 are in Cairo War Cemetery, 1 in Suez War Cemetery, 3 in Port Said, 3 in Ismailia, 9 in Chatby, 4 in Kanatara. In Palestine, 1 in Beirut, 4 in Damascus. I will send an email to you directly. You are to be congratulated on your initiative. I find it bizarre that with the current problems going on over in the Middle East today that ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand)peace keepers are again being sent there, after only eighty five years, in an attempt to restore the peace which was paid for with a high cost during the Great War. God speed and keep up the good work, Colonel!
