You seem to be completely missing the point being made by Nick, which is that soldiers serving in the Australian army, SINCE the time of Breaker Morant, have not been subject to the death penalty. Continually repeating that Morant etc. were in a British unit and therefore subject to being shot is stating the obvious, as is stating that even now Australians serving in other forces are subject to the death penalty. Nick knows that and said as mch.

In fact nobody is disputing that. The fact remains though, that anybody serving in the Australian army (not just Australians) is not subject to being shot by their own side because Australian military law forbids it.
