The exhibition at Woodford Academy on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October 2001 will be opened from 10.00am to 4.00 pm. Of particular interest is a photograph of Colonel 'Fighting Charlie' Cox reading the emabarkation orders to the 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles at Cape Town prior to emabarkation for the regiment's return voyage to Australia in May 1902. The diary and letters of Captain Robert Scobie, 3rd NSWMR's make good reading as does the Standing Order book for G Suadron, 3rd NSWMR's. Details for the Riversdale Homestead exhibition on the weekend of 27th and 28th October 2001 will be posted next week. Regards from diggerdave.
