Helen, after CHECKING my listing of the AIF's Light Horse and Camel Corps, you may be interested in the following details: Norman Harold Campbell and Stanley John Campbell enlisted on the same date (23/11/15) in the 15th Reinforcements of the 6th Australian Light Horse Regiment, both later transferring to the 17th Company of the Imperial Camel Corps. Ironically, just as the two brothers enlisted on the same date, both were KILLED IN ACTION on the same date (30/03/18) and both are buried in the Damascus British War cemetery side by side in graves C.72 and C.71. I have heard on the grape vine that a publication will soon be released listing these men's (and others of the ALH and Camel Corps) details, possibly mid 2002. If you or your friend have any further requests for information about members of the ALH or Camel Corps, I am sure that the 'professional panel of experts' will endeavour to answer your questions. Are you a re-enactor?
