Well said! You may be interested in knowing the sources of these contentious statements. The statement that nurses rode horses, but only in emergencies (I thought time of war was an emergency) was a leading figure in the ALHA and a re-enactor from Quirindi (one Bob Gunning) and the statement about the light horse travelling on patrol one hundred miles a day came from another leading light horse re-enactor from Somersby (one Bob? Pankhurst). Sounds impressive to the uninformed!
