No history of 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles has been published. There is an unpublished manuscript by Jan Hunter done as an oral history project for CSU, c.1985. 8/13 VMR was raised as an armoured regiment in May 1948 and linked with 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse in 1991. The regiment was a linking of the 8th LH, 13th LH and 20th LH Regiments. The title has the numerals of the first two regts and the territorial title of the 3rd, thus 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles. The Regimental Collection is at Tom Price Lines, Nth Bandiana, Bandiana Milpo 3694.
