We are gradually progressing. 1). The UP saddle has been identified as of British manufacture. 2). The 1915 dated military reversible bit by Robinson is obviously Australian as I have not encounterersd the name here and Rob confirms it is common in Aus. 3). The other bit is a mystery!. Is it perhaps the officer's pattern that appears as a standard reversible bit but is in fact fixed and not reversible?. John.M.
