We should also note that there is not necessarily a Queensland connection for a man who served in the 2nd LHR (or 5th LHR, 9th Bn, 15th Bn, etc.). All these units were recruited from the 1st Military District, and that District covered (and still does) Queensland and the Northern Rivers area of NSW.
