Hi there, My Grandfather served with the First Light Horse and left Aus in Sept 1915 i have searched his records at the War Museum in Canberra and have him back into Port Said in Dec 1915 i have talked to relatives etc and a lovely lady from this site and i am led to believe that he walked into Gallipoli?? Evidently all the sick and wounded were evacuated to Port Said in Dec when they pulled out of Gallipoli.. this is where i found him with Dysentry and Influenza. His details are 1st light Horse 12 Reign.. He was from Tingha NSW near Inverell/Armidale I am going to Gallipoli this Anzac Day and would like to be sure before i go... Can anyone help me..???

His name was Ernest Mccrohon.

If anyone has any info or oppinions please let me know.... thanks Stacey Truscott RAAF Penang Malaysia
