"Arithmetic of Terror.”
Under-the title of "Arithmetic of Terror" the German newspaper Vorwaerta," commenting on the Great War, gives the following" figures:- German soldiers who fell numbered 1,808,545; 14,000 negroes of the German colonial army fell; ten million; soldiers of all nations fell; 900,000 German soldiers are buried in the cemeteries of 26 different countries; in 1929, 200,000 men were still listed as "missing"; 9,586,000 horses were killed; and 4,247,143 Germans were wounded.
