Mrs. Keough
Mrs. Keough, the well-known caterer, who died recently, will be remembered affectionately by thousands of diggers who experienced her motherly care at Blackboy Hill and other camps in the hey-day of the recruiting days. Military rations were not always sufficient to allay an appetite grown voracious with fresh air and exercise, and "Ma"' Keough and her improvised restaurant could always supply a meal that was not improvised. She was one of those kindly souls whose cheerfulness never waned under the disabilities of camp life. Soldiers mourn the passing of a friend.
