TRAINING STUCK TO HIM.
Dear "Non.-Com." - The comment of the diggers on music in recent issues, reminds me of when one of our battalion wags returned a day late from furlough. His excuse to the colonel (“Bull" Leane) was: "Well, it was like this Colonel. I had three minutes to catch my train. I was just dashing across to the station when the Salvation Army Band struck up 'God Save the King.’ Like the dinkum soldier you know me to be, I stood to attention while my train departed."
He got away with it!
