Major Albert George McGUIRE, a 23 year old Bank clerk from "Medeola", Sydney, Penshurst Street, Willoughby, Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 August 1914 and was allotted to the 1st Battalion, D Company which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A19 Afric on 18 October 1914. McGUIRE was Wounded in Action, 25 April 1915 and subsequently Died of Wounds, 7 May 1915.
