Sir Your wire came to hand thanks for same, and I may state I have two more boys training for the state if I had a dozen I would gladly give them for the old Flag. Will you kindly inform me if you hear the Hospital or place where they have sent my son 993 Robt Keese Lambert and could you kindly let us know the nature of wound and if serious. Yours Resp Father 993 Private Robert Keese LAMBERT, a 20 year old Miner from Coronation Street, Kurri Kurri, New South Wales. He enlisted with the AIF on 19 August 1914 and was allotted to the 3rd Battalion E Company which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on 20 October 1914. GOSS subsequently was Wounded in Action, 25 April 1915. During the Great War, GOSS was Killed in Action, 4 October 1917, at Passchendaele, Belgium. |
