During the Great War, the 2nd LHR saw service in Egypt, Gallipoli, the Sinai Peninsula, Palestine and Jordan. It returned to Australia in March 1919.

Dominic LITTLE, a 28 year old Motor mechanic from Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 19 August 1914; and subsequently was Discharged in Australia, 12 September 1914. He re-enlisted on 16 September 1914 as 1367 Private Dominic LITTLE with the 301st (Mechanical Transport), 8th Company, Army Service Corps (17th Divisional Ammunition Park) and subsequently Deserted in Australia, 30 April 1915.
