Lieutenant-Colonel James Purcell CLARK, 44th Battalion
James Purcell CLARK, a 40 year old Barrister from Sunnyside Road, Newtown, Tasmania, enlisted in the AIF on 7 March 1916 and was allotted to 40th Battalion, Headquarters which embarked from Hobart, Tasmania, on board HMAT A35 Berrima on 1 July 1916. After the Great War CLARK Returned to Australia, 1 August 1919.
