Poppies
Western Mail, Thursday, 12 December 1929, p. 2.
About 38,000 poppies were sold in Western Australia on Armistice Day, many a sub-branch R.S.L. amelioration funds being replenished from the proceeds of sales. This year's poppies were manufactured by a returned soldier in Melbourne, but I believe an effort will be made next year to secure supplies locally.
