James Thomas PATERSON
3889 Private James Thomas PATERSON, a 27 year old Farmer from Wallumbilla, Queensland, enlisted in the AIF on 31 August 1915 and was allotted to the Australian 25th Infantry Battalion, 9th Reinforcements which embarked from Brisbane, Queensland on board HMAT A67 [i]Wandilla[/i] on 31 January 1916. During Great War, while with the 49th Infantry Battalion, Private PATERSON was killed in action at Beugnatre on 5 April 1917, and was commemorated at the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
