"Andy" Cunningham
The third prize in the recent East-West air race was won by "Andy" Cunningham, who was a member of the 6th Light Horse Regiment on Gallipoli and in Palestine. He joined in August, 1914, as a trooper, and was wounded twice on the Peninsular. He received a commission after the Evacuation and then transferred to the 2nd Machine Gun Squadron with which he finished up a captain wearing the Military Cross. Mr. Cunningham has only taken to flying during the last two or three years.
