Harold Edwin Salisbury ARMITAGE
Second Lieutenant Harold Edwin Salisbury ARMITAGE, a 20 year old School Student from Fredericks Street, Maylands, South Australia, enlisted in the AIF on 24 March 1915 and was allotted to the Australian 10th Infantry Battalion, 5th Reinforcements which embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board HMAT A20 [i]Hororata[/i] on 28 May 1915. During Great War, while with the 50th Infantry Battalion, Captain ARMITAGE was killed in action between Vauix and Vraucourt on 3 April 1917, and was buried at the Noreuil Australian Cemetery, France.
