Frederick James ADAMS
868 Private Frederick James ADAMS, a 24 year old Fruit Grower from Mildura, Victoria, enlisted in the AIF on 27 August 1914 and was allotted to the Australian 8th Infantry Battalion, "H" Company which embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A24 [i]Benalla[/i] on 19 October 1914. During Great War, while with the 8th Infantry Battalion, Private ADAMS was killed in action around Anzac Cove, Turkey on 254 April 1917, and was buried in the Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
