SYDNEY EXPRESS" TRAGEDY.

No Prosecution.

It was announced yesterday in the Criminal Court that the Crown had entered a nolle prosequi in the case of William Poulston, the member of the military guard who shot Private Jemmett, one of the prisoners, during a riot in the Sydney express, near Seymour. After the coroner's inquest Poulston was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter, and the hearing was to have taken place during the present sittings of the Supreme Court. The Crown prosecutor (Mr. Macindoe) yesterday intimated that the Crown did not propose to go on with the case.
