Casual Aussies.
"Reveille." - The main guard at Mena Camp was stationed near a clump of trees on the improvised road leading from Mena Road to the camp. As it happened a tree, something like an Australian grey gum, grew on either side of the road a little behind where the sentry used to stand. One night a major was passing along, and noticed the sentries were missing. Looking around he saw one leaning against a tree, arms folded and a cigarette in his mouth.
Approaching him, the major asked: "Who are you?"
"I'm a bit of a __ sentry," the digger replied, "who are you?"
"Oh, I'm a bit of a __ major." was the answer.
"Well." said the digger, "you just wait till I get my rifle and I'll give you a bit of a __ password.
