The history of the 16th Battalion
The history of the 16th Battalion is well on the way to publication. Revised proofs have been sent back to the Government Printer, and it is expected that the book will be available by the end of September. Sir John Monash has contributed the foreword, and the compilation generally gives a faithful record of the vicissitudes of a fighting unit. It will be profusely illustrated, and several maps and a nominal roll of the original battalion with all its reinforcements will be included.
