YOUTH GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTEUR.

In the Criminal Court today the trial has concluded of William Gruner (19), who was charged with the wilful murder of Robert Walker, licensee of the Prince of Wales Hotel, Church-street, Richmond, on the night of April 21. The jury, after a long retirement, found Gruner guilty of manslaughter. The Chief Justice described the crime as a wicked and villainous one, and imposed a sentence of five years' imprisonment, with hard labour.
