Percy William THOMSON
725 Lance Corporal Percy William THOMSON, a 30 year old Miner from Recreation Hotel, Boulder, Western Australia, enlisted in the AIF on 5 September 1914 and was allotted to the Australian 11th Infantry Battalion, "F" Company which embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on board HMAT A11 [i]Ascanius[/i] on 2 November 1914. During Great War, while with the 11th Infantry Battalion, "C" Company, Lance Corporal THOMSON was Wounded in Action around Anzac Cove, Turkey and subsequently died of wounds while on the hospital ship Galeka, 28 April 1916. THOMSON was buried at sea and now commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli.
