Bleriot XI Monoplane piloted by Maurice Guillaux taking off
Maurice Guillaux piloted this Bleriot XI Monoplane while carrying the first air mail between Melbourne and Sydney in July 1914. Guillaux returned to France at the outbreak of WWI and was killed in a flying accident in 1917. The airplane is now on display in the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney.
