Jack Casey
Soldier matters generally in the coal town are on a solid footing. Meetings are held fortnightly, and the lengthy agenda placed before members is evidence of the keen interest taken in affairs by officials and diggers of the district. At the last meeting a letter was received from Member Jack Casey, at present an inmate of the Edward Millen Home, expressing his appreciation of the branch's kindly action in forwarding a parcel of clothing, chocolate, etc. Incidentally, in his letter Jack made mention of the excellent treatment he is receiving at the home.
