David Bernard Harford
3844 Private David Bernard HARFORD, a 26 year old Miner from Ravensthorpe, Western Australia enlisted in the AIF on 14 July 1915 and was allotted to the 28th Infantry Battalion, 9th Reinforcements which embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on board HMAT A28 Miltiades on 12 February 1916. During Great War, while with the 51st Infantry Battalion HARFORD was wounded in action at Vracourt on 31 March 1917 and subsequently died of wounds on 31 March 1917, and was buried at the Pozieres British Cemetery, Ovillers-La Boisselle, France.
