Donald Petrie SIMSON
Captain Donald Petrie SIMSON, a 35 year old Teacher from Heath Street, Blenheim, New Zealand who enlisted in the British Expeditionary Force on 23 September 1914 and was allotted to the New Zealand Engineers, Field Engineers (British Section) and saw service at Gallipoli where in May 1915, he suffered a serious gunshot wound to neck and face. SIMSON was discharged as medically unfit for active service on 9 June 1916.
