Captain Eliazar Lazar MARGOLIN, 16th Battalion, B Company
Eliazar Lazar MARGOLIN, a 39 year old Merchant from Johnston Street, Collie, Western Australia, enlisted in the AIF on 18 September 1914 and was allotted to 16th Battalion, B Company which embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A40 Ceramic on 22 December 1914. During the Great War MARGOLIN was discharged from the AIF, 18 March 1918, to become Commanding Officer of the 39th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers comprising mainly American Jews.
