The Knees Have It
A 16th Battalion digger on a working party in the mud which characterised Flanders in late '17 was struggling, with two sheets of galvanised iron and three duck hoards on his back, from the Engineers' dump to the front line.
A bystander inquired "Where are you going, Dig?''
"At the _ knees" came the reply like a flash. "Where the h_ do yon think?"
