Statement made by No 791 Pte Spreckley, CH, 1st Bn re No 5059 Pte Clauson, TJ, 1st Bn, AIF.
Wounded and Missing, 27 May 1918.
I heard Clauson was hit. We had to go on and raid a post. Coming back searched tor him. when we got back to our own trenches we enquired for him. No one had seen him. Search parties failed to find him. 9th Battalion relieved us and we informed them that this man was missing.
They reported next day they had failed to find him.
