Egyptian Expeditionary Force Annerly-Corder Letter 3 March 1917
Annerly-Corder Letter 3 March 1917.
The following is a transcription of the Annerly-Corder Letter of 3 March 1917 from the War Diary of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force detailing the plan for issuing Hotchkiss Guns in anticipation for the First Battle of Gaza, Palestine, 26 to 27 March 1917.
With reference to attached letter from DADOS A & NZ Mounted Division, re 1 Hotchkiss Gun per Troop, I am informed by this Headquarters, through the telephone, that they have no written authority for this issue; but that it is based on remarks, made in conversation by General Lynden Bell.
If you know nothing of the matter, perhaps you would refer it to DOS
Signed A Annerly Corder, Lieutenant Colonel
