25 March 1917
Divisional Headquarters moved from El Arish to Rafa.
Brigade less 12th (Ayr and Lanark Yeomanry Battalion) Royal Scots Fusiliers and 12th (West Somerset Yeomanry Battalion) Somerset Light Infantry left Sheikh Zowaiid 1330 arrived Rafa 1700 - took up outpost line at Rafa.
Right Section 16th (Royal 1st Devon and Royal North Devon Yeomanry Battalion) Devonshire Regiment.
Left Section of outposts 14th (Fife and Forfar Yeomanry Battalion) Royal Highlanders
26 March 1917
Major General ES Girdwood Commanding 74th Infantry Division in Command of troops at Rafa. Brigadier General R Hoare Commanding 229th Infantry Brigade in Command of outpost line.
27 March 1917
Headquarters and ½ Battalion 12th (West Somerset Yeomanry Battalion) Somerset Light Infantry arrived Rafa, by road at 2100 from Sheikh Zowaiid.
