7th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 12th Reinforcement Persic Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A34 Persic 18 November 1915.

The HMAT A34 Persic weighed 12,042 tons with an average cruise speed of 13 knots or 24.07 kmph. It was owned by the Oceanic SN Co Ltd, Liverpool, and leased by the Commonwealth until 8 November 1917.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

1796 Private George Clarence Chapman LAMBOURNE, an 18 year old Fisherman from Nelsons Bay Port Stephens, New South Wales. He enlisted on 13 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 11 April 1916.

1659 Private Samuel LANGWELL, a 19 year old Station hand from Wavell, New South Wales. He enlisted on 5 October 1915; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 7 May 1918.

1660 Private Allen John LAVERTY, a 25 year old Drover from Ifield, New South Wales. He enlisted on 14 August 1915; and subsequently Died of Disease, 29 December 1917.
