4th Australian Light Horse Regiment

4th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 28th Reinforcement Kyarra Group, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A55 Kyarra 7 September 1917.
The HMAT A55 Kyarra weighed 6,953 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the AUSN Co Ltd, London, and manned by Australia officers and crew. The Kyarra was leased by the Commonwealth until 4 January 1918. The Kyarra was torpedoed and sunk by a submarine in the English Channel, 26 May 1918.

3619 Private Henry BARKER, a 19 year old Labourer from Wangoom via Warrnambool, Victoria. He enlisted on 10 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
3621 Private Edward Ernest CLARK, a 21 year old Labourer from Callawadda, Victoria. He enlisted on 6 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
3656 Private Harold William KENNEDY, a 19 year old Grocer’s mate from Buninyong, Victoria. He enlisted on 9 May 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
3657 Private Henry Thomas REDDEN, an 18 year old Farmer from Brighton, Victoria. He enlisted on 21 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
3643 Private Thomas Henry TAYLOR, an 18 year old Grocer from Malvern, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 June 1916; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 2 May 1918.
3647 Private Robert TRELEAVEN, a 43 year old Orchardist from Nyah, Victoria. He enlisted on 29 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
