Catering for a more specialised market, the Coastal Steamships Limited introduced innovations to their shipping packages.

The outstanding item is concentration upon the local passenger market. Their ticketting agressively seeks after this trade. The value added items include the train to either Port Adelaide or Glenelg, allowing passengers the option of choosing their point of departure from Adelaide itself with a comprehensive ticket. With luggage, it was quite a difficulty getting to the ports unassisted. This ticket provided a one stop service which proved to be very popular.
