9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Morphettville Race Course Camp and Broadmeadows Camp, Victoria.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Formation of Regiment occurring at Morphettville Race Course Camp, Adelaide, while "C" Squadron is formed at Broadmeadows Camp, Victoria.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - One man wounded in thigh with shrapnel.
[Note: The wounded man was: 853 Private Will Rutherford Dunn. This was his second wounding, the first occurring at Walker's Ridge, 28 June 1915 where he received shrapnel to his back.]

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Millegha
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Joined the Brigade at Hod el Ge'eila at 1000. The whole Brigade moved off and arrived at Amara at 1200. The Regiment occupied its original camp south of the Hod for the night.
1917

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Um Urgan
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Williams, Captain H, returned from Port Said Rest Camp. Regiment moved out and took over day outpost line Point 300 - Two Tree Farm - 510 - 630 - 720 - El Buggar. Regimental command post established on 550 one mile north of Im Siri. Posts 550 and 630 shelled. At 1700 relieved by 8th and 10th Light Horse Regiments. Withdrew to Karm and bivouacked for the night. Two troops C Squadron misinterpreted orders and remained on Posts 300 and Two Tree Farm all night.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Rained all day. No cover except few maize and stone shelters built by prisoners.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Regiment disbanded.
