11th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 2nd Reinforcements Kanowna Group, embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board HMAT A61 Kanowna 24 June 1915.
The HMAT A61 Kanowna weighed 6,942 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the AUSN Co Ltd, London, and manned by Australia officers and crew. The Kanowna was leased by the Commonwealth until 18 March 1919.

887 Private Samuel Lucas McLean BAKER, a 28 year old Boundary rider from Lake, Victoria Station, New South Wales. He enlisted on 26 March 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 11 May 1919.
888 Private Edgar William BARTLETT, a 33 year old Sheep farmer from Swan Reach, South Australia. He enlisted on 28 January 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 20 July 1919.
889 Private John Joseph CARNEY, a 34 year old Drover from Oodnadatta. He enlisted on 27 January 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 March 1919.
890 Private Ernest James CHANDLER, a 30 year old Plasterer from Adelaide, South Australia / Townsville, Queensland. He enlisted on 27 January 1915; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 12 August 1918.
