1st Australian Light Horse Brigade, AIF, 12th Reinforcement, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A37 Barambah 4 December 1915.
The HMAT A37 Barambah weighed 5,923 tons with an average cruise speed of 10.5 knots or 19.44 kmph. The Barambah was previously a captured German vessel called Hobart. It was manned by Australia officers and crew and transferred to Commonwealth Government Line, 23 May 1918.

8137 Driver John William BIRD, a 39 year old Caster from Ipswich. He enlisted on 30 July 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 21 May 1916.
8138 Driver Edwin James CRANK, a 34 year old Fitter from North Ipswich, Queensland. He enlisted on 28 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 June 1919.
8139 Driver Cecil Wilbert DAVENPORT, a 33 year old Brazier from Ipswich, Queensland. He enlisted on 28 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.
8140 Driver Hubert Clive ELSNER, a 21 year old Clerk from Toowoomba, Queensland. He enlisted on 31 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 1 November 1919.
8141 Driver Richard Thomas McGRATH, a 38 year old Fitter from South Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 28 July 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 1 November 1917.
8142 Driver Percy ROBERTS, a 24 year old Carpenter from South Brisbane, Queensland. He enlisted on 2 August 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 31 October 1917.
8143 Driver George WARD, a 36 year old Labourer from 'Muirlea', via Ipswich, Queensland. He enlisted on 2 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 6 May 1919.
