The HMAT A71 Nestor weighed 14,501 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the Ocean SS Co Ltd, Liverpool, and leased by the Commonwealth until 26 June 1917.

R2594 Private Henry Otiwell NORTHWOOD, a 21 year old Rail Clerk from Kingsvale, New South Wales. He enlisted on, 22 September 1914; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 27 April 1919.
9817 Driver Alexander ROSS, a 21 year old Carpenter from Manly, New South Wales. He enlisted on, 2 February 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 23 June 1919.
9816 Driver John SERVICE, a 26 year old Merchant from Randwick, New South Wales. He enlisted on, 11 January 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia 12 July 1919.
9818 Driver John Eric TAIT, a 29 year old Barman from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on, 5 January 1916; and subsequently Returned to Australia 17 October 1916.
