The HMAT A19 Afric weighed 11,999 tons with an average cruise speed of 13 knots or 24.07 kmph. It was owned by the Federal SN Co Ltd, London. The Afric was torpedoed and sunk in the English Chanel, 12 February 1917.

5242 Sapper George Fenton CHATFIELD, a 22 year old Farmer from North Fitzroy, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 20 July 1919.
5249 Sapper Thomas James GREENE, a 26 year old Rail worker from East Ballarat, Victoria. He enlisted on 27 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 1 November 1919.
5241 Sapper Arthur Ernest HAMILTON, a 25 year old Clerk from Essendon, Victoria. He enlisted on 19 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 4 March 1919.
5245 Sapper George Manson HAMILTON, a 22 year old Wool storeman from Essendon, Victoria. He enlisted on 12 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.
5247 Sapper Leslie Thomas KNIGHT, a 21 year old Porter from Bendigo, Victoria. He enlisted on 23 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 12 May 1919.
5246 Sapper Arthur John PICKEN, a 25 year old Labourer from Brunswick, Victoria. He enlisted on 9 August 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 12 May 1919.
5244 Sapper James Drury RISBRIDGER, a 23 year old Seaman from Brunswick, Victoria. He enlisted on 6 July 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 18 December 1918.
